THRIVING BABY

Lactation and Infant Feeding Services
Mary Elejel BHSc., RDH., IBCLC.

First and for most I'm a mother of 2 lovely children who I was able to successfully breastfeed. It came along with challenges, lots of learning, and supports along the way. I truly see the value in sharing tips and offering assistance for families and their precious babies. It makes a world of difference in our sense of confidence and abilities to help nurture our new growing baby.

Secondly, I have been a healthcare provider for over 17 years. In my early career I have obtained a bachelors degree in health sciences and a diploma of dental hygiene. I have worked as a registered dental hygienist providing oral health care, with a focus in myofunctional therapy, airway restrictions and tethered oral tissues.

I have a thorough understanding of oral dysfunction and the impact on growth and development of an individual. I have had the privilege to be part of a unique baby program at Soni Dentistry working with Dr. Liu in providing supports to families with infant feeding challenges stemming from lip and tongue ties.

This led me to further my education and knowledge in becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  I'm passionate about helping families reach their feeding goals and establishing a thriving foundation for babies and their families.

I'm dedicated to continuing education and personal passion projects that continue to help me grow as an IBCLC. I have completed over 1000 clinical hours of lactation support coming from a variety of settings, such as, in hospital, dental and private practice environments.

I am looking forward to being a part of your infant feeding journey.
